I haven't written for Cbrich.com for a while. And I think it's a good time to report an update about what's been going on.
Been busy mostly in a pursuit for organic traffic.
It all started when my Adwords account was hacked and then google needed to suspend my account while their security team performed an investigation.
It was pretty weird man, somebody hacked (or 'cracked' to be correct) into my Adwords account. The perpetrator then created a campaign which was used to distribute malware, and a bill of $3,200 was charged in a couple of days.
So then, after the valve was closed for plentiful Adwords traffic, I began to think to myself:
"Gee, I remember a time, before Adwords, when I actually made web sites. Like real websites. Sites that provide useful information and that attract visitors without cost."
Yeah, I fondly remember those days when I'd make pages and put them up to attract the spiders. But lately it seems the most involved I've been in development has been with landing pages - not really good content sites.
So seeing that as for the past month, I haven't had a click of paid traffic, I've realized how nice it is to have a good steady stream of organic traffic flow. You know, visitors that come from sources other than ppc campaigns.
And it's been nice from what I've seen so far. That is organic traffic to my steadily growing roster of pages.
I really get more excited about making money with organic traffic than I do for paid traffic.
I don't know, it just feels great, making money from writing articles and without any monetary outlay.
That feels good, but I'm still stoked about having my Adwords account activated again soon!
Peace out!
